Retirement ITAS

Indonesian law offers a special visa designed for senior citizens

Bali is one of the most comfortable and welcoming destinations for retirees. Its tropical climate, warm weather, stunning nature, improving healthcare services, and the hospitality of the local people create the perfect environment for a relaxed and carefree lifestyle.

 

The Retirement ITAS is a temporary residence permit in Indonesia issued to individuals aged 60 or older. It is valid for 1 year and can be extended annually. After 5 consecutive years of holding a Retirement ITAS, you become eligible to apply for a KITAP (Permanent Residence Permit).

During the visa’s validity, you can leave and re-enter the country an unlimited number of times.

Benefits

The Retirement Visa KITAS is intended for applicants aged 60 or older, allowing them to retire in Indonesia. Important: The Retirement KITAS does not grant the right to work or earn income within the country.

Requirements

  1. Passport (minimum validity 6 months)
  2. Personal bank statement with a minimum amount of USD 3000 and proving income or allowance with a value of USD 3000 per month.
  3. Color photo for documents.
  4. Address in Indonesia.

For the onshore process, additionally, you need to provide:

  • Rental Agreement for 1 year and copy ID of landlord
  • Copy ID of 2 locals (housemaid, drivers, etc.)
  • Health insurance
  • Photo of your current visa*
